Hello, my name is Rose. I'm a wife and we are blessed with two wonderful boys. I design crochet patterns over at LoopinglyMade.com. Crafting has always been a part of my life, from making handmade beaded jewelry to calligraphy to making greeting cards, I have always dabbled in one form of craft or the other. I really enjoy bringing to life all the design imaginations in my head/heart, they are an extension of me and it brings me tremendous happiness seeing my designs on other crafters.

I am thrilled to finally be sharing the Vesuvius Poncho Crochet Pattern with you, it was a joy to create.  First, I've got to say "Thank you" for the opportunity given to share a pattern I designed on The Hook Nook blog. Having read Jessica's inspiring story of when she started, to finding herself, working with brands, to writing a book and creating a product line fills me with so much inspiration and tenacity to never give up. The Vesuvius Poncho is inspired by geometric shapes, so I wanted to 'sketch' out a shape that was simple yet striking, add the stripe lines and you have two shapes that contrast yet blend beautifully. Using two deeply contrasting colours worked greatly to make the geometric shape and stripe lines pop.  The Vesuvius Poncho is warm and excellent for the cool weather. It is a statement piece that I feel proud wearing. Fun fact- if you google 'vesuvius' the first photo(s) you might see have similar colours to the Vesuvius Poncho. It was fun to discover that because I had no idea there was a place called Vesuvius. I hope you have a blast making the Vesuvius Poncho.
