Ok ok ok okayyyyyy..
So, I know this is WAY delayed for my liking, but here we are. I have wanted to share a post alllllllll about The Hook Nook Yarn Passport because it's not only my favorite piece from The Hook Nook Collection, but it's actually the one singular product that inspired the collection in the first place.
Before The Hook Nook Collection even became a thought, I imagined a journal that would suit me and my textural obsessions as well as act as a mix between a journal and a scrapbook. Growing up, that's how I treated my journals. I'd tape in movie ticket stubs, pressed flowers, notes from friends, special trinkets that meant something to me in one way or another into my journals and it just made it feel even more "mine" and special. However, due to reasons outside my control, I lost possession of these journals and have not been able to "connect" with journaling the same since. But that's a story for another time.
I wanted to create a kind of journal that could satiate the special things of being a fiber artist, and this is how the Yarn Passport came to fruition.
Check out below for all of the unique ways that make this product incredibly special!
Let's take a peek at what makes The Hook Nook Yarn Passport so special:
First off, I added this printable sheet designed by Jen Evans to the front of my Yarn Passport. You can get the free printable for this The Hook Nook yarn checklist in this blog post!
After having used different yarns and fibers and brands from around the world, I wanted to have a special place where I could keep little samples of each yarn and what makes them so special so the rest of the skein/hank/cake can actually be used without guilt (if you know, you know). I'm so proud of these pages where you can tie yarn samples and note the special aspects of the fiber! There is enough space to collect 48 samples of yarn/fiber/material within one Yarn Passport (yes, we are working on having additional pages available for purchase in the future, just getting things figured out!).
Each Yarn Passport comes with four folders that will can be customized with your own organization labels!
Another really special aspect of The Hook Nook Yarn Passport are the project pages where you are able to print and attach 4"x6" images of your completed projects with space to describe the specific piece!
Last, but certainly not least, each Yarn Passport comes with several sheets of graph paper for you to doodle, schedule, plot, plan, design, do math, or whatever you may need some extra pages for - I've got you covered. Feel free to move sheets into different parts of your Yarn Passport to truly customize it as your own!
