My name is Karla Fonseca, The Designer and maker behind Elena and Kamila. I design crochet and knit patterns. I taught myself to crochet a few years ago while I was pregnant with my first daughter (Elena). I wanted to make her baby blankets that she could treasure forever, pretty soon after that I started getting ideas for all sorts of designs and I haven't been able to put down my crochet hook since then. I love coming up with designs that are simple and beginner friendly but look modern and stylish. Being able to share my patterns has sparked so much joy within me and has given a hobby with a purpose that I desperately needed as a stay at home mom. I still get so excited every time I see someone complete one of my patterns, it's almost like sharing a little piece of myself.

Repeat to make two sleeves

Seaming

1. Place front and back panels

together; I recommend using stitch markers

to attach them together temporarily.

2. Using your preferred method of

seaming (whip st, mattress st, etc) begin by seaming together the shoulders of

your sweater one at a time

3. Find the center st of the sleeve and attach to sweater using a st marker then, seam the sleeves to the body of the sweater

4. Fold sweater in half (inside out) seam up the sides and bottom of sleeves.

4. Flip sweater right side out.

Neckline

Attach yarn to the back of the neck line, sc around neckline for a more finished look.

I hope that you enjoy making this sweater! It has become a staple in my closet already. I can't wait to see your finished sweaters, be sure to tag me on Instagram and follow me to see what new patterns I'm working on!
