However, I am so incredibly honored and absolutely THRILLED to finally introduce you to my new friends, Botties®! This company was founded by such a sweet soul, Isabelle Possehl, and she truly inspires me to continue to step outside of my comfort zone and learn new things in the attempt to watch my dreams come to fruition. Botties® have made a fantastic name for themselves in Europe, and even Japan. Now it's time for Americans and Canadians to invite sustainable shoes into their lives and curate intentional living in new ways.
What I absolutely love about these materials is they are such high quality and are even reusable! The soles can be reused through new seasons, just remove one season's design and create a new one!! The wool felt insoles are also long lasting!!
As we emerge into this new season of life where many of us are searching for more ways to be sustainable and independent, being able to create quality shoes for ourselves and for our families is such a gift that most of us have not had the opportunity to have. I am so proud to watch creatives be bold and brave to come up with an idea and follow it through to production and fruition. This is one of those things that should have been around for the last several generations.

CREATIVE INSPIRATION:
Botties are synthetic soles that can be used as sturdy soles for slippers. Advantages: Botties soles are non-slip and water resistant.
Botties are made in Germany from skin-friendly material. The soles are 2.5 mm thick and have holes all the way round the edge. www.botties.de
You can use the holes to crochet using hooks in sizes 12 and 13 plus the corresponding yarn.
The crocheted round creates the basis for the crocheted slippers.
To determine the correct Botties sizes, measure the length of sole on a shoe that fits well.
They can be used WITH or WITHOUT felt insoles.
- For Botties WITHOUT felt insoles, the entire crocheted slipper (including sole) is inserted into the Botties sole and attached. Make sure the Botties soles don’t come up too tight.
- For Botties WITH felt insoles, only the upper of the crocheted slipper is attached to the Botties sole. Choose Botties soles in the same size as the sole of the shoe you measured.

PREORDER INFORMATION:
- Preorders will be accepted through February 14, 2021 for both consumers AND retailers. (If you are a retailer interested in carrying Botties®, please email us at hello.thehooknook@gmail.com for a wholesale application and order form)
- Order will be placed with the manufacturer based in Germany on February 15, 2021.
- Once product ships and is delivered to our warehouse, we will begin packaging orders and begin shipping consumer and retailer orders as soon as possible. We are eager and optimistic for a ship-by date of March 31, 2021.
- It is possible that if you order AFTER the preorder deadline, our stock will become limited or sold out. We will be placing a second order at the same time as the first for a ship freight delivery which can take 60 days from Germany to our warehouse. In this event, our stock may not be replenished on the website until May
