Hi everyone! It’s Shannon, also known as @shannoncreates_ ! I am back again on the blog sharing another pattern using The Hook Nook’s amazing yarn! Where I am from the snow is officially here and the cold temperatures have settled so what would be better than a cozy sweater! 

Introducing Anastasia! Anastasia is the perfect cozy, cold weather sweater that uses two colors of “Yummy”to create a unique split color sweater! This pattern can be customized to your liking as it includes instructions on how to create a longer sweater or turtleneck if you wish. The sweater works up quickly and once sewn together I guarantee it will become a staple in your winter wardrobe! 

Supplies

I/5.5mm Crochet Hook (I used one from the The Hook Nook Interchangeable set!)

The Hook Nook “Yummy" Yarn/Bulky (5). Varies per size (5-7 skeins).

Colors pictured:  Latte Foam, Charcoal Toothpaste

Notions Kit which includes Yarn Needle, Measuring Tape, Scissors, Stitch Markers

Key

Ch: Chain

HDC: Half Double Crochet

HDC: Half Double Crochet 2 Together

SS: Slip Stitch

SC: Single Crochet

FPDC: Front Post Double Crochet

BPDC: Back Post Double Crochet 

DC: Double Crochet

MC: Color 1

CC: Color 2

Gauge

Please create a 4”x 4” square swatch using half double crochet. It should be 10 stitches by 7 rows with your 5.5mm hook, and adjust accordingly as needed.

Sizing

Note: This pattern is written for a standard fit, and has zero ease when it comes to the standard sizes. This pattern is written for a true fit and is slightly cropped, if you are looking for an oversized sweater I suggest going up a size.

Main Body Panels XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL,3XL, 4XL, 5XL

Starting with your MC, you will be creating your first panel for the body. Ch 22, 25, 28, 31, 34, 37, 40, 43, 46. HDC in the first chain from the hook and across. 

Ch 1. HDC across. (21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 39, 42, 45)

Repeat step #2 for 32, 33, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 42, 42 rows. 

Note

If you want a longer, less cropped sweater add 12 rows additionally. 

Ch 1. HDC in 9, 11, 14, 16, 19, 21, 24, 26, 29 stitches.

Ch 1. HDC across. 

Repeat step #5 for 2 more rows. Finish off.  

Repeat steps #1-6. 

Starting with your CC, you will be creating your second panel for the body. Ch 22, 25, 28, 31, 34, 37, 40, 43, 46. HDC in the second chain from the hook and across. 

Ch 1. HDC across. (21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 39, 42, 45)

Repeat step #9 for 32, 33, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 42, 42 rows. 

Note

If you want a longer, less cropped sweater add 12 rows additionally. 

Ch 1. HDC in 9, 11, 14, 16, 19, 21, 24, 26, 29 stitches.

Ch 1. HDC across. 

Repeat step #12 for 2 more rows. Finish off.  

Repeat steps #8-13. Note: You should have 4 panels when completed. 

Sleeves XS, S, M, L, XL,2XL,3XL, 4XL, 5XL

For sleeve #1: starting with your MC, Ch 37, 37, 41, 43, 47, 51, 55, 57, 59, then HDC in second ch from hook and across. 

Ch 1. HDC across. (36, 36, 40, 42, 46, 50, 54, 56, 58)

Repeat step #2 for 21, 21, 21, 22, 22, 23, 23, 24, 24

Switch to CC. Ch 1. HDC across. (36, 36, 40, 42, 46, 50, 54, 56, 58)

Repeat step #2 with CC for 12 rows.

Switch to MC. Ch 1. HDC across. (36, 36, 40, 42, 46, 50, 54, 56, 58)

Ch 1. HDC in 2 stitches, HDC2Tog in next. Repeat until the end of row. Note: This may not work out evenly, and that’s okay! 

Ch 1. HDC across.

Ch 1. HDC across.

Ch 1. HDC in next stitch, HDC2Tog. Repeat til end of row. 

Ch 1. HDC across. 

Repeat step #11 for 3 more rows. 

For sleeve #2: starting with your CC, Ch 37, 37, 41, 43, 47, 51, 55, 57, 59, then HDC in second ch from hook and across. 

Ch 1. HDC across. (36, 36, 40, 42, 46, 50, 54, 56, 58)

Repeat step #14 for 21, 21, 21, 22, 22, 23, 23, 24, 24

Switch to MC. Ch 1. HDC across. (26, 26, 30, 32, 36, 40, 44, 46, 48)

Repeat step #14 with MC for 12 rows.

Switch to CC. Ch 1. HDC across. (26, 26, 30, 32, 36, 40, 44, 46, 48)

Ch 1. HDC in 2 stitches, HDC2Tog in next. Repeat until the end of row. Note: This may not work out evenly, and that’s okay! 

Ch 1. HDC across.

Ch 1. HDC in next stitch, HDC2Tog. Repeat til end of row. 

Ch 1. HDC across. 

Repeat step #23 for 3 more rows. 

Assembly XS, S, M, L, XL,2XL,3XL, 4XL, 5XL

For sleeves: Take sleeve; fold it in half, and sew up the side; leaving the ends open for the shoulder and wrist. Repeat for the second sleeve. 

For body: Take the 2 of the same colored panels and line them up, sew across the top shoulder to attach. Repeat for other 2 panels.  Line up two panels and sew centers to attach. 

For sleeve attachment: Measure your arm hole starting at the top of shoulder and down 6”, 6”, 7”, 7.5”, 8”, 9”, 9.5”, 10”, 10”, placing marker. Repeat to other side. Sew up until marker and attaching sleeve around arm hole. Note: You will put the opposite sleeve color with body panel. 


Neckline for All Sizes

Attach yarn to back in center at top of neck (where colors meet), HDC  across, HDC2Tog at corner, HDC  across, HDC2Tog at corner, HDC  across, HDC2Tog at corner, HDC across, HDC2Tog at corner, HDC across. SS to connect.  

Ch 1. HDC around. SS to connect. 

Repeat step #2 for 4 more rows. 

Note

You can add rows to step #3 for a longer turtleneck. 

Edging for All Sizes

Attach yarn to back in center at bottom(where colors meet), SC around evenly. SS to connect. 

Ch 2. DC around. 

Ch 2. BPDC, FPDC, repeat until end of row. 

Repeat step #3

Ch 1. SC around. Finish off and weave in all ends.
